Private Health and Wellness Physicals
Dr. Tzipi Morris offers private Yearly Wellness Physicals which consist of two hours of one-on-one time with Dr. Morris. It includes a complete physical exam (with breast and pelvic exam), complete blood work, referral for any preventative health screening recommended (such as mammogram or colonoscopy), and a thorough Preventative-Health Counseling Session. The counseling will be individualized, based upon a complete investigation of each woman's risk factors for developing disease, and will focus on developing a personal plan for each woman to enable her to nurture her own body, mind and spirit. A preliminary diet, exercise and self-care (emotional and spiritual) recommendations will be discussed with each individual, and extensive educational materials will be provided. 
Cost: 600 NIS

A one-hour follow-up visit can be scheduled with Dr Morris in order to discuss the results of any tests that were ordered, to review and answer any questions about the educational materials given, and to finalize a basic plan to maintain wellness and prevent disease over the next year. 
Cost: 300 NIS

Private Health Coaching 

Dr. Morris also offers Private Health Coaching to any woman who has received a Yearly Wellness Physical and wishes continue in an individualized program,  to help her achieve her wellness goals. Dr. Morris will meet with each client regularly to establish goals, discuss her progression, and brainstorm ways to overcome any obstacles she may encounter. In addition, each woman will be encouraged to participate in her choice of classes, support groups, and activities designed augment her program and ensure her success.
Cost: 300NIS for each one-hour appointment with Dr. Morris (additional cost for educational programs offered by the center)

               Women who may benefit from the Health Coaching Program include:
                 * Cancer Prevention/Treatment
                    Women who are at high risk for breast or other type of cancer and wishes to change their lifestyle to prevent the onset of the 
                    disease.

                    Women who now have cancer and wish to augment their current therapy with lifestyle changes that are known to slow            
                    tumorand prevent recurrence

                    Women who have had cancer in the past and simply want to improve their chances of preventing a recurrence.

                 * Heart Disease
                   Women who are at high risk for heart disease (because of family history, high cholesterol, obesity, etc) who wish to take control of 
                   their lives and prevent the #1 Killer of Women in developed countries.

                   Women who already have known heart disease (because of a previous heart attack or angina) and are committed to preventing  
                   another event

              * Stroke
                   Women who have had a stroke, TIA (mini-stroke), or carotid artery disease (build-up of plaque in the arteries of the neck), and 
                   women who wantto prevent these problems before they occur.

              * High Cholesterol
                   Women who have "Borderline" or "HIGH" Cholesterol and want to treat it with lifestyle changes, and those who already take    
                   medication and want to add lifestyle changes in order to prevent the complications of high cholesterol (heartattack, stroke, 
​                   stroke, dementia, etc.)

              * Dementia
                   Women who want to prevent Dementia from Alzheimer's Disease and VascularDementia (Dementia caused by silent mini-strokes) 
                   through a change in  their diet, exercise, and sleep, and other habits.

              * Diabetes
                   Women with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes who want a program to help them get better control of their sugars, prevent the      
                   complications of diabetes (stroke, heart attack, etc.) and perhaps decrease the amount of medication they require.

                   Women with Pre-Diabetes or Type 2 Diabetes who are trying to control their sugars with diet and exercise in order to prevent the 
                   need for medication.

                   Women who are at high risk for Type 2 Diabetes (women with a family history of Type 2 Diabetes, women who have had 
                   Gestational Diabetes, women who are overweight, etc.) who want to learn lifestyle changes that have been proven to help prevent 
                   the onset of diabetes.

              * High Blood Pressure
                   Women who have High Blood Pressure or "Borderline-High" Blood Pressure whowant to help prevent the complications of High 
                   Blood Pressure (stroke, heart attack, etc.).

              * Pure Prevention
                   Women who are essentially healthy, but know (or have been told) that healthy lifestyle changes can prevent many of the above 
                   diseases.




Weight Loss and Wellness Program
Losing weight can be a very important part of wellness, but can also be very frustrating when you have tried different diets only to regain the weight yet again. The Efrat Women’s Health Center presents a 6month in-depth, medically supervised, multidisciplinary weight loss program that will educate, support and empower you to achieve and maintain meaningful weight loss, while improving your long-term health and overall wellness. Focus on your diet, exercise, and behavior modification in a supportive environment. Let us help you take control of your health in a way that has been scientifically proven to be the most effective at helping individuals lose weight and keep it off. Don’t wait any longer!  

 Here’s what ‘s included:
Complete Physical and Health Consultation from a Licensed Physician, blood work, and comprehensive educational materials.

Ongoing physician supervision and monthly multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss your progress in the program.

Monthly individual Lifestyle Modification sessions with a licensed therapist to provide support, guidance and strategic planning to achieve your weight  
loss goals.

Monthly individual Nutritional Counseling sessions with a nutritionist who will assist you with meal planning, label reading, and setting and achieving 
goals.

Two weekly Exercise Classes staffed by experienced fitness instructors. Classes are designed for women at a beginning and intermediate exercise levels. Exercises can be modified according to your fitness level and any physical limitations. 

Weekly Weight Loss and Wellness Support Group designed to provide you with professional and group support while you develop the healthy lifestyle choices that will be necessary to achieve and maintain weight loss. 

A monthly Healthy Cooking Class designed to inspire you to be creative with healthy food. You will learn easy delicious meals and snacks that you and your family can enjoy together. 

Physician Follow-up Consultation appointments at 3 months to discuss your progress, and 6 months to help you design an ongoing personalized program that will be necessary for you to maintain your weight loss and achieve further goals

Community Education Classes
The Efrat Women’s Health Center provides programming for the entire community, including support groups, lectures and workshops on various topics such as parenting, stress management and relationships, as well as healthy cooking classes, and a book and movie club. A group volunteer activity is also planned regularly in order to stimulate women to connect to each other and their own spirit by helping other.

Current Classes include:

Healthy Cooking Class: Have dinner with Dr. Tzipi and learn how to cook delicious HEALTHY meals for your family, while discussing the nutritional benefits of what you’re eating.
When? The 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:00pm-7:00pm

Cost: FREE to women currently enrolled in our Weight Loss and Wellness Program; 50NIS/class for all others. 

Movie Club: Kick back and enjoy a relaxing movie with friends and the Efrat Women’s Health Center. Aliza Shapiro 
LISW-S will lead a short discussion on the spiritual and emotional themes following each movie.  
When? The 4th Thursday of the month, every-other month, alternating with the Book Club, at 8:30 pm.  
Location: Efrat Emergency Medical Center. NO pre-registration required. 
Cost: 10NIS/class.

Book Club: Come socialize with other women and engage in a stimulating discussion about a current book with a wellness theme. Discussion mediated by Aliza Shapiro, LISW-S.
When? The 4th Thursday of the month, every-other month, alternating with the Movie Club, at 8:30 pm.
Our first Book Club will be Thursday, July 28th. Location: Efrat Emergency Medical Center.

Cost: 10NIS/class, plus cost of book. (We will pre-order used books from Amazon.com to decrease cost.)

Health and Wellness Series:
Dr. Tzipi Morris, Aliza Shapiro, L.I.S.W. and Judy Kizer M.S., along with other professionals in the Gush area educate women in our community about preserving their health and wellness.  Topics with rotate, covering all areas of health and wellness, including the physical, emotional and spiritual.
When? Wednesdays from 8:30-9:30pm.

Women in Action: Join Gilah Gimpel for a monthly spirit-nurturing volunteer activity for the women of Gush. We will team up with other chessed organizations in the area in order to help others and the environment. Look out for details of our first event, which will take us to the orchards of Israel to help Leket harvest fruit for the poor.

Pre-Birthing Classes:  Abby Friedman, certified midwife, will be offering Pre-Birthing Classes to prepare couples for the upcoming birth and postpartum period. Classes will benefit couples who will be experiencing childbirth for the first time, new olim who are delivering for the first time in Israel, and couples who simply want to re-educate themselves on the birthing process.

Prenatal and Postpartum Exercise Classes:  Sarah Katz, certified doula and personal trainer (specializing in prenatal and postpartum exercise) presents two exercise classes designed for the new mommy and mommy-to-be. "Baby Bump" Prenatal Exercise Class focuses on helping women stay fit during pregnancy, while "Mommy and Me" Fit Mom Class allows women to get fit while spending time with their infants.
